Access to your money should always be easy with multiple options to make everyday purchases.  At Charter Bank, debit cards offer multiple ways to quickly access your accounts at an ATM, local merchants or online.  Credit cards also offer the ability to make purchases and to build your credit history.

Visa® CharterCard

With a Charter Bank debit card, you can get cash at 1,000s of ATMs worldwide plus have the power to make everyday purchases. Your debit card is linked to your checking account. Every purchase you make, whether in person or at online retailers, is deducted straight from your checking account.  Make deposits at equipped ATMs, transfer funds or check your checking and savings account balances.  You can make surcharge-free cash withdrawals at MoneyPass and SHAZAM Privileged Status ATMs nationwide.

Prepaid Visa® Cards

Reloadable Gift Cards are available for purchase at our branches.  Can be used for budgeting purposes, traveling internationally or as a low risk alternative for teenagers or young adults.

SHAZAM® Falcon Fraud Monitoring

As part of our debit card protection program, we provide text alerts when suspicious activity is detected on your Charter Bank debit card. If you receive a text alert, reply Yes or No to confirm or deny the activity. If you reply No (the activity is fraudulent), you’ll quickly receive a follow up text to let you know that a SHAZAM fraud specialist will call you soon to help protect your account. We’ll also automatically block your debit card to prevent any additional fraudulent activity.

If you reply Yes (the activity was legitimate), you can continue to use your debit card as normal. If you don’t reply to the text, or your phone number is not a mobile number, we’ll attempt to reach you via automated voice call.

Make sure to save these numbers to your contacts so you don’t miss any alerts. This added protection to your debit card is automatic and text message alerts are free. 

Be sure to keep your cell phone number updated with the bank to receive fraud protection messages.

SHAZAM will not request to verify your card number or other personal information.

SHAZAM® Brella App

Brella is a free mobile app that helps protect you from fraud by sending alerts when your card is used so you can quickly detect unauthorized activity. You choose which alerts to receive and when. 

Users have the option to receive alerts via text or email. You can also check your account balance anytime, turn your card off and on, send money to other Brella users and find nearby ATMs.

Use the Brella app along with the SHAZAM® Falcon Fraud Monitoring for increased protection against fraud.
